(Review is of the 2019 vintage)
When it comes to bubbles in drinks, mostly I like sparkling mineral water and, best of all, a healthy measure of gin in tonic. Aside that, these styles are pretty good fun. I sat with Vince Vaughn doppelgänger, winemaker Will Gilbert last week, and a few wines particularly took my fancy. This fancy wine is one of them. Made from Sangiovese.
Red cherry, almond, blossom, nutty, putty scents. Soft and juicy, fine chalky texture, pretty and sweetly red fruited, soft bubbles, distinct chalkiness on the finish to taper it all in. So tasty. An ideal park wine for smashing in the coming warmer months.
